I'm here to tell the world how difficult it is for short women in an oversized world. I'm 4' feet 10" inches tall and skinny. It's always hard to find clothes & shoes that fit me the way I would like, without alterations. I often dream of being taller and more average size like most women. I usually shop in the children's department, just so I can have clothes that actually fit me. I can now shop in the junior's department, but why should I have to settle?
When I go shopping for shoes I'm limited to places like Payless Shoes and Famous Footwear (both great stores). But just like clothes it's hard to find what I want in my size, so I'll hopelessly browse around and typically leave empty handed. Short and petite women shouldn't have to settle any longer! We shouldn't have to special order or pay extra for anything! The "Big & Tall" stores are popping up everywhere, why not our stores with items that fit us? There are so many petite/short people in my position, experiencing the same problems and more. I want the world to know how it really is for us, in hopes that things will change for the better, for those of our stature.
